Flexibility.
We noticed that some of our customers frequently needed to change the project specifications, even after the work had started. This was particularly common when the customer was not the end user of the work, but was adding value and selling it on to other companies.
So we decided to build the ability for the customer to move the goal posts into our standard contract. Our clients can and often do, ask us to start work on a project, stop work, change the project, abandon it all together, or resume it again after a lengthy hibernation. We allow all of these things, provided one month's notice is given, usually without any financial penalty. The one common exception is when specialist freelancers have to be hired to do the work, who may not be able to wait around until work resumes. In these cases a small retainer usually provides sufficient motivation.
Experience.
We only use people who have plenty of experience in the project field. They also have the ability to foresee problems before they arise, which can save considerable time.
Speed.
Using small teams, we can offer unparalleled project execution times. By making full use of email, bugs can often be turned round the same day, with an update emailed straight to your test site/head office.
Source Code.
Normally, source code is delivered at the end of a project, but if project security is a problem, we can work on a 'continuous source code basis', which means that we send you the latest code at every predefined stage. Thus you can even fire us, and use a different company, with the minimum of fuss.
